There's always some learning opportunity for adults on Sunday morning. We meet in the nave for a variety of presentations. Sometimes Pastor Jim will lead a Bible study, sometimes there's a guest speaker, and other times a Lakesider will share how his or her faith life impacts life at home or work.
Just Completed at the Adult Forum . . . What's Next?
Over the years, there have been repeated requests for an overview of Lutheran theology. Starting on Sunday, February 3, and continuing through Palm Sunday, March 16, those requests will be granted.
We will use The Lutheran Course, a video and discussion series. Here are the topics:
- Sunday, February 3: “How to Tell the Difference Between the Law and the Gospel.”
- Sunday, February 10: “Five Things You Should Know about the Lutheran Reformation.”
- Sunday, February 17: “The Anatomy of a Baptism.”
- Sunday, February 24: “How to Receive Communion.”
- Sunday, March 2: "The Three Most Important Things Jesus Did"
- Sunday, March 9: "How to Read the Bible"
- Sunday, March 16: "How to Share Your Faith with Someone"
These will be very full sessions, and so every effort will be made to begin promptly at 9:15 a.m. Grab your coffee, and join us in the south end of the narthex! |
