Confirmation classes will resume on Sunday, Septermber 11, during the first Education Hour (9:15 a.m.) of the new program year.  Our classes include students in sixth, seventh, and eighth grades.  David Williams, Linda Wilken, and Pastor Jim Fowler currently comprise the teaching team.  Students typically are confirmed in October of their ninth grade year.

Topics during these years are getting to know the stories and overall message of the Old and New Testaments, study of Martin Luther's Small Catechism (including the Ten Commandments, Lord's Prayer, Apostles' Creed, Baptism, Communion, and Confession and Forgiveness).  We also learn about the basic concepts of Lutheran worship, and why within our services there can be so much variety.

Each summer, our confirmation students have the opportunity to spend a week at Lutherhill, the camp of our Texas-Louisiana Gulf Coast Synod (ELCA).
