We Welcome You to Join Us

Following the example of Jesus and the call of the prophets, Lakeside Lutheran Church is a place where we care for the poor, the sick, the hungry, those on the fringes of society, and God's beautiful, glorious creation. Join us in our work to care for those God cares for. No experience necessary.

“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’”

Summer Camp 2017

Every year we are excited to host children’s summer camps children at Lakeside. This is a wonderful opportunity to remind kids that God loves them unconditionally 24/7 and offers parents a break. Typically, the Lutherhill Day Camp is in June from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. In 2017, we explored the theme “Reform, Re-Imagine, Rejoice!”
In August, Vacation Bible School is held from 6:00-8:30 p.m. This family style camp includes dinner each evening along with singing, bible study, crafts, games, and Christian fellowship. This year, we discovered “God’s Good Gifts” and learning about our sisters and brothers in Peru.

Registration for summer camps begins each year in April.

In addition, we encourage our youth to attend Lutherhill Camping Ministry in LaGrange, Texas as often as possible. Confirmation youth are expected to attend at least once in grades 6th-8th. The following photos share a glimpse of fun moments from previous trips to Lutherhill.
