Evangelism

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

-Matthew 28:19

Evangelism Committee

Mission:  Communicate Lakeside Lutheran Church news and events to the internal and external community.

Our group meets once a month on Monday at 6:30 pm.  Our initiatives focus on Internal Evangelism and External Evangelism.

Internal Evangelism

Our internal goal is to advertise upcoming events to church members. We accomplish this through announcements and displays in the narthex, updates to our website, and our three church publications: Timely Tidbits, Fridge Notes, and The Beacon.  We encourage members to let us know as they are planning events so that we can get the word out in a timely manner.  We are planning to continue to improve our website by adding pictures and more information to the pages and even posting sermons.  We would also like to set up accounts for our members to have access to things such as member directory and fridge notes.

External Evangelism

Our external goal is to carry out the good news of God into the world and bring people in to worship.  Evangelism touches every aspect of the church.  We aim to keep up the building and grounds, continue to exhibit a warm, welcoming atmosphere, hold a worship service that ‘moves’, and provide adequate visitor follow-up.  These things communicate to the League City community that Lakeside is a place they can come for help and healing, fellowship and fun, and spiritual growth and encouragement.

Ways we advertise to the community:

www.lakesidelutheran.org - Jeremy Wilken and Kari Niedermaier are our system administrators.

Banners on the church building.

How does one get involved?

Please contact Amy Corneillie or any of the other committee members (Joanie Anderson, Pastor Jim Fowler, Jim Koppe, Amanda Ludwig, Linda Ludwig, Paul McRae, Warren Renander).  We would love to hear your ideas for strengthening evangelism in the church and in the community!
